Go Back The Hiding Place

The Hiding Place

by Jeff Whitty

A comedic satire on the passions of art, love, and theatre!

In this satire that jumps back and forth in time, Myra, an aspiring playwright and waitress, meets Karl, a well-regarded (and married) novelist, and a romantic and imbalanced relationship begins. As their exchanges move beyond letter-writing to the beginning of an affair. After it abruptly ends, Myra turns their letters into a barely fictionalized comedy—and the play's leading actor is Karl's unsuspecting best friend. On opening night, the relationship becomes public, and for everyone in Karl and Myra's radius, the world turns on its end.

Written by Tony Award-winning playwright Jeff Whitty—winner of Best Book of a Musical for "Avenue Q" in 2004!

This production includes strong adult language.

Directed by James Sanguinetti
